Grimes Brought Out Janelle Monáe for ‘Venus Fly’ in Atlanta
The Wondaland proprietor came out to perform her collaboration from 'Art Angels'
One of the most delightfully weird tracks on Grimes’ ecstatic Art Angels is a collaboration with Janelle Monáe called “Venus Fly.” Wednesday night, it got its first full-force live performance when Grimes made a tour stop in Monáe’s native Atlanta. Earlier in the day she cryptically tweeted that she was “dressing in black + white. 4 a special guest in Atlanta,” as if there could be any other. One of Grimes’ tourmates HANA posted a short clip of the performance of the track, during which Monáe takes the stage. You can check that out below, along with a photo of the pair backstage.
