Last month, Erykah Badu announced a new mixtape called BUT YOU CAINT USE MY PHONE with a remix of Drake’s “Hotline Bling.” Monday night she shared another track reliant on the innovations of Alexander Graham Bell, “Phone Down.” Like the previously released cut this ones an ode to living in the present, sweetly intoned over ghostly synthwork and subterranean drums. “This one’s for Aubrey,” she wrote on Soundcloud.
