Here’s the DJDS Acid House Remix of Adele’s ‘Hello’ You Didn’t Know You Needed

Last week, it was suggested that what Adele’s career really needed was a dance song, and Los Angeles’ DJDS (formerly DJ Dodger Stadium) have taken the liberty to provide us with the Adele floor-filler we never dreamed of needing. The dynamite duo of Jerome LOL and Samo Sound Boy have even surpassed themselves — or rather, the slamming treatment they lavished on Timmy Thomas’ “Why Can’t We Live Together” — with their “Acid Mix” of Adele’s “Hello,” which unites across continents two musical spirit animals who worship at the altar of #feels.

DJDS lasso the British singer into a warehouse rave with an inversion of the original’s melancholy piano before killing the house lights and flashing on the strobes, all while pumping out a whiplashing bass line so acidic you’ll feel your blood boil. Listen to it here, and keep an eye out for DJDS’ sophomore album, Stand Up and Speak, which arrives January 29 via their label Body High.
