Adele’s New Album Will Not Be Available on Streaming Services

Sales projections for Adele’s forthcoming 25 are astronomical, and according to reports from The New York Times, she’s unwilling to let streaming services impinge on her potentially record-breaking numbers. The Times reports that major streaming outlets have been told that they won’t be able to post the British pop singer’s third studio album. Representatives for Adele declined to give the Times an official comment on the story, but it is suspected that she was personally involved in the decision in some capacity.

*NSync’s No Strings Attached presently holds the record for most single-week sales for a new album at 2.4 million, but if 25 holds to Billboard‘s projections it would break that.
