Yoko Ono Made a Gigantic Human Peace Sign for John Lennon’s Birthday

As previously announced, Yoko Ono set out to honor what would have been her late husband John Lennon’s 75th birthday yesterday by attempting to organize the world’s largest human peace sign in New York’s Central Park.  Though the gathering ultimately fell short of the Guinness World Record, according to representatives from the company, the resulting peace sign still looks to have been pretty impressive. CBS reports that over 2,000 people participated, but that over 5,000 would have been necessary to break the record. Lennon’s actual birthday is October 9, so if you’re looking to stage your own celebration you still have a little bit of time.
