New Orleans is a special place, and the Voodoo Music Experience is truly that — an experience. With some of the biggest artists across all genres taking the stage on Halloween weekend, it’s three days of ghouls, goblins, and incredible music. The SPIN stage at the ToyotaMusic Den is no different, bringing together artists and fans for intimate performances. Friday kicked off with a stripped down set from Gerard Way, followed by a chance for fans to meet the rocker up close and personal. The Joy Formidable rocked the stage next, bringing their signature intensity to the small stage. Grizfolk brought style and energetic sound to their set, and Wax Motif finished out the night with a hit-after-hit DJ set. Host Yassir Lester kept the whole crowd laughing throughout, and DJ Rezound kept the tunes going all day long.
