The Pains of Being Pure at Heart Announce ‘Hell’ EP With Cover of James’ ‘Laid’

New York-based indie pop act the Pains of Being Pure at Heart have announced a new EP called Hell due November 13 on their Painbow label. The album will feature one new original, “Hell,” and a pair of covers of their gossamer influences Felt and James. They’re sharing that James cover (“Laid”) today which features vocals from A Sunny Day in Glasgow‘s Jen Goma, and it’s every bit as ethereal and bodily as the original. Listen to that below as you wait for anticipation for the rest. That Felt cover is bound to be something special, given the lilting similarities between the pair of bands.
