The Smashing Pumpkins‘ videos throughout their career have always been as idiosyncratic and grandiose as the songs they accompany, and their latest, a clip for “Run2Me” follows in that tradition. Paired with the track’s high-minded synth exercises, the track features a woman under the spell of a which, who’s slowly able to break free and burst into a psychedelic array of colors.
The video’s director Linda Strawberry told Vulture that the video was inspired by the tarot card the Magician, which is “symbolic of transition and inspiration.” Watch the visual over at Vulture, who premiered the clip.
