Rihanna officially announced her long-awaited eighth studio album at a Los Angeles art gallery on Wednesday night, with artwork designed by the Jerusalem-born designer Roy Nachum. Here’s what we know thus far about Nachum:
- He’s worked with other artists on Rihanna’s label, Roc Nation.
- Nachum has Instagrammed photos of his work with Rih affiliates Jay Z and Kanye West throughout the past several years. Here are a couple of those pieces:

- Nachum has also worked with Rihanna before, on the single artwork for both “FourFiveSeconds” and “Bitch Better Have My Money.” He also designed her “American Oxygen” cover.

- Rihanna fans have speculated about his involvement in R8 since much earlier this year, many of them begging the artist to leak the album in the comments section of his Instagram.
- Nachum’s official biography points out that he often works with braille, a recurring image in all three of his Rihanna single covers thus far.
- They’ve met in person. Here’s proof.
