Madonna’s new nightly ritual with her special guests involves some play-spanking and banana-gifting as part of her worldwide Rebel Heart tour. She’s invited guests like Diplo and Anderson Cooper to the stage during her show-closing “Unapologetic Bitch,” and last night in Los Angeles, pop star extraordinaire Katy Perry joined their legions with a dance-heavy cameo during Madge’s curtain call.

Perry — her eyes ever on the zeitgeist — snatched the microphone and crowed “I love you mom” to Madonna as the two broke into fits of laughter. The two then downed a shot of an undetermined alcohol from a banana flask (“It’s Tuesday? See you on Friday!” Perry cracked before her drink). It’s not their first time (t)working together, either; Perry appeared briefly in Madonna’s “Bitch I’m Madonna” video earlier this year, and the pair covered V together last year for the magazine’s “Power of Pop” issue.
