Flying Lotus’ bass-slapping protege Thundercat released his mini-album The Beyond / Where the Giants Roam back in June and he’s still touring hard on the back of that release. Today, NPR is sharing a live session he recently recorded with Santa Monica radio station KCRW, for another effects soaked performance of that record’s standout “Them Changes.” As ever the man born Stephen Bruner offers a ripping bass performance over the top of some airy keyboard work.
