Hot on the heels of their collaborative album with Miley Cyrus, the Flaming Lips have announced plans to release an anniversary reissue of their seventh album, Clouds Taste Metallic. They’re calling the deluxe box set (or three-CD version) Heady Nuggs 20 Years After Clouds Taste Metallic, it’s due November 27, and via Pitchfork:
The first disc contains the whole album as well as The King Bug Laughs, a collection of rarities and outtakes); the second contains a promo-only compilation CD entitled Due To High Expectations The Flaming Lips Are Providing Needles For Your Balloons; the third contains a previously unreleased live recording from a 1996 gig in Seattle.
The full track list for all those albums is below — revisit SPIN‘s two chats with Lips frontman Wayne Coyne from earlier this year to rev up your excitement. The vinyl bundle (with t-shirts and signed LPs too) comes in at $249.98, and the simple CD version retails for a much cheaper $29.99.
