Lorde, Flight of the Conchords Team for Charity Single to Fight Neurodegenerative Disorder

New Zealand have apparent figured out a way to make a charity song that doesn’t suck. Unlike the Global Warming-supporting crew led by Paul McCartney and Colbie Caillat, a new song called “Team Ball Player Thing” featuring Lorde, Flight of the Conchords, and Kimbra, went the self-aware route and made an intentionally campy track and video to attempt to raise money to fight Batten disease, a rare neurodegenerative disorder.

It’s a mostly standard “We Are the World”-esque clip, except it also features rugby players riding unicorns and Jemaine Clement in a robot suit. Watch the video here and head to kiwiscurebatten.com, if you find yourself moved.
