Katy Perry brought New York City’s Fashion Week to a close last night with a mini-set at the Harper’s Bazaar September Issue party, her first major performance since February’s headlining Super Bowl slot. Reworking hits such as a harp-driven “Roar,” a trappy “Teenage Dream,” and a much synthier”I Kissed A Girl” (which she dedicated to Mariah Carey, who “paved the way for so many of us”), Perry brought drama and high-fashion to the proceedings. Watch footage of her captivating set below — it’s always neat to see a star on Perry’s level rework and remold her classics in ways that makes total sense.
