Frankie Cosmos Announces ‘Electronic’ EP ‘Fit Me In,’ With ‘Sand’ Single

Greta Kline’s issued a mountain of charming indie-pop tunes over the course of the last few years under the name Frankie Cosmos, and in just a couple of months she’ll add to the dozens of songs with a new EP on Bayonet Records. Titled Fit Me In this new one is a “one-off experiment” made in her apartment with Porches.‘ songwriter Aaron Maine.

Today she’s sharing “Sand,” the first 49-second taste of that release, which proves that for her an “experiment” means just a differetnly warped take on pop music. There’s a greater emphasis on synthesizer, but the K Records ramble will feel familiar to those who’ve followed her career to date, as will the intimate lines about holding hands and “touch[ing] all the books outside the Strand.”

The full lyrics are below along with Kline’s slate of upcoming tour dates. Pre-order the EP over at Bayonet’s website.

I wanna kiss your stupid thumb
’cause I love when the days are long
I notice more of everything
might even try to be a friend
You hold my hair right by the end
and we hold hands around the bend
touch all the books outside The Strand
the oldest pages soft like sand
the oldest pages soft like sand
