At last night’s Creative Arts Emmys in Los Angeles — the precursor to the main Emmy Awards ceremony later this month — Dave Grohl and his merry band of Foo Fighters took home two trophies for their HBO series Sonic Highways. Appropriately winning for their “Seattle” episode, Foo Fighters triumphed in the “Outstanding Sound Mixing for Nonfiction Programming” and “Outstanding Sound Editing for Nonfiction Programming” categories. With an additional 11 Grammys under their belt, the band’s now only halfway to EGOT — someone get Grohl on writing a musical, stat.
