Former Owl City Touring Member Accused of Criminal Sexual Contact With 14-Year-Old Girl

Daniel Jorgensen, a former touring member of the electropop band Owl City, has been charged with criminal sexual contact and attempting to lure a 14-year-old girl to his hotel room for sex, according to the Associated Press.

The 30-year-old musician allegedly initiated criminal sexual contact with the teen on an Atlantic City beach while on tour with the band in 2013, and later that day tried to get her to come back with him to his hotel room and the group’s tour bus. Rumors and unofficial allegations of Jorgensen’s alleged inappropriate conduct with underage fans have been floating around for years, but a Grand Jury in Atlantic County, New Jersey, handed down the indictment on Tuesday. Bail was set at $100,000, and Jorgensen could face five to 10 years in prison if convicted.
