Faith No More‘s Mike Patton, TV on the Radio‘s Tunde Adebimpe, and producer Doseone have been teasing a collaborative project for the better part of a decade now, and it seems that the project, now called Nevermen, is finally ready to emerge in proper. Today, they’ve shared a single called “Tough Towns” over at Rolling Stone along with the announcement that they’ll be releasing an album in October on Patton’s Ipecac Recordings. As with anything any of these players are involved with, this track is a strange stomach-turning thing, a mishmash of spoken-word vocals and queasy synths. Doseone says it’s “dedicated to anyone remotely young, feeling inexplicably inspired in the ‘nowhere’ they are from.” Listen over at Rolling Stone.
