Jess Glynne’s had one of the most interesting debut album rollout campaigns of the year, trotting out different singles at a pretty even clip (“Why Me,” “Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself,” “Hold My Hand,” and more) to see what sticks but also to demonstrate the breadth of her talent. She’s got a soulful voice, but can handle big league pop and EDM mania like they’re second nature. Now she’s released “Gave Me Something,” surely one of the last pre-I Cry When I Laugh treats for fans, a key-clanging jangler that combines Glynne’s emotionally raspy vocals with an uptempo jam.
