Woody Harrelson Gets Out of Jail in U2’s ‘Song for Someone’ Short Film

U2’s Songs of Innocence dropped onto unsuspecting iOS users late last year, but they’re still dropping new stuff in unexpected places. Bono and co. decided to debut their extended short film for “Song for Someone” on Sundance’s TV channel late last night, following Rectify, their series about a prisoner freed after 19 years on death row. This visual reads like a melodramatic and maudlin retelling of a similar story, starring Woody Harrelson as the convict in question and his real-life daughter Zoe as his long lost daughter in the clip. For now the whole nine-minute video is available only at Sundance’s site, so go ahead and stream it there.
