Update: The Libertines have shared the “Gunga Din” video. That’s below.
On Wednesday night, the Libertines announced that their first full-length since 2004, Anthems for Doomed Youth, would be out later this year and now today they’ve already shared its first single. Titled “Gunga Din,” the the track hints at a left turn for the band, opening with a distant dubby intro before diving into their typical, and promised, alt-rock anthemics. Anthems for Doomed Youth will hit store shelves on September 4 via Harvest Records.
