Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, Mark Ronson Cover Queens of the Stone Age’s ‘I Sat By the Ocean’

Aside from making his own immaculate record Currents, Tame Impala‘s Kevin Parker also found some time this year to make an appearance “Daffodils” from Mark Ronson‘s smash Uptown Special. The British songwriter producer recently stopped by Triple J and Parker accompanied him both for a rendition of “Daffodils” and a cover for the radio station’s “Like a Version” series. They offered an appropriately psyched-out version of Queens of the Stone Age‘s “I Sat By the Ocean,” and even though Parker was mostly riffing in the background, the equally capable Kirin J. Callinan and Miike Snow‘s Andrew Wyatt (who handled lead vocals) did well in the spotlight. Watch both performances here, via Stereogum.
