PC Music‘s pseudo-pop predilections seem to have finally launched one of the producers in its loose orbit fully toward the mainstream. Sophie, a longtime friend and collaborator of labelhead A.G. Cook, has already spent time working with J-Pop superstar Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and actual superstar Madonna, but his latest move is probably his biggest break yet. McDonald’s is using his stellar Numbers single “Lemonade” as the soundtrack for a new ad selling — you guessed it — lemonade. And hey, not only that, but he re-imagines their classic jingle with his bubble-popping blips.
It’s pretty cute, even if it’s already upsetting some of his fans. Watch the advertisement here.
