Despite pulling his entire catalogue of music from every streaming service except for Tidal earlier this month, Prince has deigned to share a new song on Spotify. The mysterious new track, “Stare,” is pure funk, with a gripping, delectable bass line and some groovy horns alongside Prince’s ever-so-smooth vocals. It’s unclear if the song will appear on his just-announced upcoming LP, The Hit & Run Album, or why it’s on Spotify instead of Tidal, but it’s definitely worth listening to. Stream it below.
