Lana Del Rey’s just released the lead single from her upcoming third full-length, the title track called “Honeymoon” that she’s been teasing for quite some time. It’s a simmering, moonlit waltz that finds the 30-year-old’s vocals layered ethereally atop each other in eerie fashion. There’s something traditional about Del Rey’s songs in that they always manage to dip into the orchestrally driven tracks of the past while still sounding unquestionably new. “Honeymoon” is a bit buttoned-up, to be sure, but it’s a stellar taste of what LP3’s got in store later this fall.
