Montage of Heck, HBO’s critically acclaimed documentary about the late, great Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, is returning to movie theaters across the country later this summer. The film, which offers a rare, raw, behind-the-scenes look at the iconic musician, already had a very limited theatrical run in April ahead of its May 4 premiere on HBO. Now Rolling Stone is reporting that the Brett Morgen-directed film will be on the big screen again for those who missed it, with its second run kicking off on August 7. Abramorama will distribute Montage of Heck at New York’s IFC Center and Los Angeles’ ArcLight, and it will also be shown at ArcLight Cinemas‘ complexes nationwide.
