Icona Pop, whose catchy-as-hell “I Love It” became ubiquitous a couple years ago, are coming out their new Emergency EP tomorrow, and they just shared a glittery, upbeat reminiscing cut titled “First Time.” The quick-moving, feel-good track celebrates love and remembering “the first time we got high / the first time we got drunk / the first time we fell in love.”
“The song has a whole new meaning to it now,” singer Aino Jawo explained in a statement. “Looking back and reflecting on how far we’ve come since those early days when we were broke and didn’t have a clue what we were doing or where we were going!” (via Pitchfork)
Icona Pop are currently on tour opening for dad-to-be Louis Tomlinson and the rest of One Direction.
