Stream Metal Supergroup Teenage Time Killers’ Wrenching Debut LP, Featuring Dave Grohl

Teenage Time Killers is a hardcore supergroup formed by Corrosion of Conformity’s Reed Mullin, The Birds of Satan guitarist Mick Murphy, and producer John “Lou” Lousteau, and they’re set to release their debut LP Greatest Hits Vol. 1 next week. But in addition to those core players, that record features just about the most impressive cast of punk and metal icons in recent memory. Foo Fighters‘ Dave Grohl and Pat Smear contribute to a good portion of the record’s ripping tracks. Ex-Queens of the Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri, Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor, punk icon Jello Biafra, Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe, Blink 182’s Matt Skiba, Greg Anderson of Sunn O))), and Lee Ving of Fear also all make appearances. The list, incredibly, goes on.

But what’s most important is that the record is more than just a list of names, it’s a teetering mix of hardcore and thrash archetypes chopped down to size and rearranged into new configurations by that bountiful crew of guests. It’s pretty great and you can stream it in full over at the New York Times right now.

Greatest Hits Vol. 1 will be released on Rise Records on July 31.
