Dave Grohl Covered Neil Young at Motorcycle Rally With Ex-Members of Pearl Jam, Blind Melon
Purple cast in tow, the Foos main man took on "Cinnamon Girl"
Dave Grohl really isn’t going to let that broken leg slow him down.
On the same day that he performed a marathon Foo Fighters set from the top of a giant throne he designed while high on painkillers, the iconic alt-rocker also stopped by an early morning motorcycle rally in D.C. and performed a pair of covers. Grohl joined a band that included former Pearl Jam drummer Dave Krusen, Foo Fighters’ Rami Jafee, and Blind Melon guitarist Christopher Thorn for lighthearted renditions of Neil Young’s “Cinnamon Girl” and the Rolling Stones’ “Bitch.” Video of the first of those covers has been unearthed by Alternative Nation, so you can watch it here.
