Riot grrrl luminaries and punk-rock innovators Bikini Kill — led by the esteemable Kathleen Hanna and band members Tobi Vail, Billy Karren, and Kathi Wilcox — will rerelease their very first collection of work, 1991’s Revolution Girl Style Now.
Initially only released on cassette tape, the record will be reissued for the first time digitally and on CD and vinyl and will be out on September 22 via Bikini Kill Records. Superfans can also get a limited-edition replica version of the demo cassette available via mail order only.
Mixed by Guy Picciotto (Fugazi) and mastered by John Golden, the reissue will feature three previously unreleased tracks: “Ocean Song,” “Just Once,” and “Playground.” You can check out the track list and a video trailer below.
