Ty Dolla $ign’s been teasing the release of his upcoming album Free TC for a while — it’s currently slated for a fall release — and today he dropped a new cut featuring Future and Rae Sremmurd called “Blasé.” It’s definitely the opposite end of the spectrum from his pop-tinged “Drop That Kitty,” which featured Tinashe and Charli XCX but did little business on the charts. Instead, “Blasé” is an ominous summer cut that finds Ty swapping between his trademark warbling and melodic rapping. “Started from the ground,” he hums as a metronomic synthesizer ticks forebodingly.
