The Strokes‘ guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. is set to release his third solo album Momentary Masters at the tail end of July. Today, he’s released a giddy guitar pop gem called “Losing Touch” as a preview to that record. After tossing around a handful of neon-lit guitar lines that wouldn’t feel out of place on the last couple of Strokes records (or a Rick Springfield LP, for that matter), Hammond stumbles into the sort of soaring chorus that marks many of his best solo songs.
