The Strokes’ Albert Hammond, Jr. Releases Giddy Guitar-Pop Single ‘Losing Touch’

From his July 31 solo album 'Momentary Masters'

The Strokes’ guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. is set to release his third solo album Momentary Masters at the tail end of July. Today, he’s released a giddy guitar pop gem called “Losing Touch” as a preview to that record. After tossing around a handful of neon-lit guitar lines that wouldn’t feel out of place on the last couple of Strokes records (or a Rick Springfield LP, for that matter), Hammond stumbles into the sort of soaring chorus that marks many of his best solo songs.
