Run the Jewels Share Snippet of ‘Meow the Jewels’ Track ‘CREOWN’

Now that Meow the Jewels is actually a real-life thing (as in, an all-cat-noises version of last year’s Run the Jewels 2), El-P has been steadily sharing clips on Instagram teasing the, er, “mew” material.

Following “Angelmeowster,” featuring production work from Dan The Automator, today El-P shared a snippet of “CREOWN,” which, of course, is a feline take on “Crown.” Produced by the Alchemist, this cut has Killer Mike spitting verses over a series of high-pitched chirps that go something like “meow-meow-meow-mow-mow-MOW!” It’s definitely the silliest, but somehow the backing track ends up sounding mysteriously like the original’s jittery beat. Check it out, and look out for Meow the Jewels dropping sometime in the near future.
