Mail the Horse Conjure Up ‘Holy Motel Magic’ on New Single

New York folk-rock quintet Mail the Horse are prepping the release of their new album Planet Gates, and they’ve just shared a simmering track called “Holy Motel Magic.” After kicking off with crunchy guitars and organ that recall “Like A Rolling Stone” (and the actual Rolling Stones as well), the track later makes room for upbeat vibraphone plinking and some Julian Casablancas-esque vocal maneuvers. It’s a happy marriage of late-’60s instrumentation with the rough-edged attitude of early-’00s garage-rock.

Stream “Holy Motel Magic” right here, and check out the band’s upcoming tour dates below. Planet Gates is out June 24 and is currently available for pre-order.
