Those tricksters in Death Grips are at it again. Late Wednesday night, a Twitter account long rumored to be associated with the band shared a link to a zip of a mysterious record hosted on their official website. Upon inspection, it appears to be an LP by an unknown band called the I.L.Y.’s called I’ve always been good at true love, but as with everything from their camp few other details have been officially shared at this point.

The always vibrant Death Grips subreddit has done some investigative work, however, and signs point to this being some sort of side project. The record’s psych-indebted opening track, “The Sickest Fuck of Them All,” shares a title with an unreleased film project by drummer Zach Hill listed on the band’s website, and the record certainly bears some stylistic similarities to his noisy 2010 album, Face Tat. Listen to it below, or download it over at their site.
