U2’s the Edge Falls Off Edge of Stage Because Some Things Are Just Too Perfect

Sometimes the universe hands you a low-hanging fruit, and you just have to shut up and savor it. That’s what happened on Thursday night during U2’s encore at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, when a man who decided 35 years ago to call himself the Edge blindly walked off a certain part of the stage and totally ate it. The 53-year-old guitarist was performing “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” when he apparently misjudged his footing and fell off. An Instagram video captured the moment for posterity. The Edge was mostly unharmed and laughed off the mishap — the band later posted a photo of his scuffed-up arm to their own Instagram account with the caption “Didn’t see the edge, I’m ok!!”

Between this tumble and Bono’s nasty bike accident last fall, we really hope Adam Clayton isn’t like, thinking of running with scissors anytime soon. Watch the Edge go down (in the name of love) in the video below.
