U2 Have a ‘Beautiful Day,’ Busks in the Subway on ‘The Tonight Show’

Finally making good on promises to reschedule their cancelled stint on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, U2 took over on Friday night for a series of sketches interviews and performances. As some speculated when the band performed in the New York City subway in disguise earlier this week, there was skit that involved the band doing just that. They ran through “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” before ditching the glued-on facial hair and causing chaos in Grand Central Station. The band also performed on the show last night, offering up typically soaring renditions of “Beautiful Day,” Songs of Innocence‘s “Song for Someone.”

Fallon also interviewed Bono about his horrifying bike accident and then convinced him to take his first spin on a bicycle since that time. You can catch the performance of “Beautiful Day” up above and the rest of the night’s proceedings down below.
