Robyn Announces Mysterious New Project, La Bagatelle Magique

The group will play Stockholm's Dans Dakar festival later this summer

Last year, Robyn teamed up with Röyksopp for their Do It Again EP, an all-too-short effort that left fans clamoring for more of the sprightly Swedish singer. As has been oft discussed, in 2014, her longtime collaborator Christian Falk passed away following a fight with pancreatic cancer, leaving a supposed Robyn project in flux.

It’s 2015 though, and Robyn knows how to keep the ball rolling, having just announced a new project called La Bagatelle Magique — featuring the late Falk, herself, and her keyboard player Markus Jägerstedt — who’ll play Stockholm’s Dans Dakar festival on August 21 through 22. There’s a website for the group, on which there’s a looped, conga-esque snippet (below) of a new track that is called, according to the page’s code, “Love Is Free,” which Robyn also played on her co-headlining tour with Röyksopp last summer. More as it comes.
