In the final days of his Kickstarter to fund a documentary of archival footage of late Blind Melon frontman Shannon Hoon, photographer and film director Danny Clinch has dangled another carrot to sway possible donors: footage of My Morning Jacket‘s Jim James, the Gaslight Anthem‘s Brian Fallon, and the Avett Brothers‘ Seth Avett performing the band’s songs.
James delicately infuses “Sleepyhouse” with warm horns and his signature falsetto, while Avett and Fallon take a more acoustic, D.I.Y. approach for their versions of “St. Andrew’s Fall” and “Mouthful of Cavities,” respectively. Watch them above and below.
