Kanye West Settles Lawsuit Over ‘Bound 2′ Sample
Papers filed on May 11 ended the claims of singer Ricky Spicer
In December of 2013, Kanye West was sued by singer Ricky Spicer (of the Ponderosa Twins Plus One) for the use of his vocals on the Yeezus track “Bound 2.” According to Billboard reports, that lawsuit has finally been settled. Papers were reportedly filed to a New York court on May 11 that ended the claims of infringement. Spicer originally alleged that he had not been compensated for samples of his song “Bound,” which can be heard on the chorus of Kanye’s song. The terms of the settlement have not yet been disclosed.
