Devonté Hynes, the musician also known as Blood Orange, just uploaded more than 45 minutes of brand new instrumental music to his YouTube page. The music, which includes sections of pleasant strumming and more minimalistic, ominous strings, was originally intended for a movie, according to Hynes. “I spent the last few months working on a film score, then I got fired,” he wrote on the video’s description. “No hard feelings. Here’s some of the music. Listen & zone out if you want.” Hynes did not say what film he was working on, or why he was let go, though he did note that the painting accompanying the uploaded music was by Alice Lancaster.
