Dave Grohl Joined Paul McCartney For a Performance of ‘I Saw Her Standing There’

Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl at the 2012 Grammys

Proving he’s been up to more than just palling around with Kanye, Paul McCartney’s getting ready to kick off a big U.S. tour. But before he does that this summer, the former Beatle is playing a pair of shows back in London at the O2 Arena. The first of those shows took place Saturday night and to celebrate the occasion Macca had a few tricks up his sleeve. As Rolling Stone points out, during his main set he played the McCartney II track “Temporary Secretary” live for the first time.

That’s run-of-the-mill enough, but things really got special during the encore when none other than Dave Grohl popped out from back stage. The Foo Fighters frontman added his own vocals and guitar work to the Beatles’ classic “I Saw Her Standing There.” The two obviously have a history of collaborating, but this one is particularly fun to watch. You can catch that video up above and “Temporary Secretary” down below.
