Børns has quickly, quietly been digging his heels into the ground with each new thing he releases, making certain he’ll be around for at least a while. His four-track debut EP, Candy, featured some of the most charming electro-folk released this year — “10,000 Emerald Pools,” especially — and yielded the lead single “Electric Love.” That track scored him the Taylor Swift Bump (All Rights Reserved), and now it’s got a flashy, neon-speckled new music video to go with it.
In the “Electric Love” visual, Børns — real name: Garrett Borns, real former place of residency: a treehouse — is in the forest, wearing a bedazzled jacket, and surrounded by a bevy of twirling, light-up dancers and lightning bolts.
