Speedy Ortiz have unveiled another cut from their forthcoming sophomore release, Foil Deer. Titled “Puffer,” the feedback-riddled song features plenty of the band’s signature offbeat percussion and dissonant guitar strokes, yet this time, frontwoman Sadie Dupuis sings in a slightly higher, more melodic register. It’s almost — dare we say — seductive? It’s a subtle shift, but a great one. Check it below, and look out for Foil Deer on April 21 via Carpark.
