Late last night — perhaps to shed some of the clowning that came with his much publicized lip-lock with Madonna at this weekend’s Coachella — Drake dropped “My Side,” a smoky, bedroom-rap bonus track from the upcoming physical release of his most recent full-length, If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late.
The track presents a look at what went wrong between him and a former love. It finds Drake at his most emotional, sitting a woman down to explain his side (natch) of a relationship as a melody plays in reverse under his rhymes.
