Desaparecidos Watch the News in ‘City On The Hill’ Video
The visuals are all pulled from old news broadcasts and commercials
Conor Oberst’s punk group Desaparecidos aren’t the biggest fans of capitalism, to say the least, and the new music video for “City on the Hill” — from their upcoming sophomore album — uses capitalistic imagery against itself. The montage of visuals are all drawn from old news reports and commercials, and, when strung together in a row under the band’s provocative music, paint an unflattering picture about consumption and sustainability.
