Last month, Brandon Flowers offered up the first delicacy from his upcoming sophomore album The Desired Effect in the synth-drenched, Ariel Rechtshaid fist pumping form of “Can’t Deny My Love.” Now the Killers’ frontman slows things down a bit with a smooth declaration of his unceasing love with “Still Want You.” The song — for which Flowers also released a finger-snapping video — outlines the ways in which the Las Vegas singer will remain true to his betrothed, including but not limited to:
- Time is passing by
- Crime is on the rise
- Climate change and debt
- Nuclear distress
All that said, the track’s got this super old-world vibe with its flamenco strings and drums and Flowers’ emotionally-packed warble, and the visual is loaded with personality (He sings! He dances! What more do you need?). Watch the “Still Want You” video below and see for yourself.
