Tom DeLonge Lashes Out at Insecurities on Solo Single, ‘New World’

It's from his upcoming, post Blink-182 album of solo tracks and demos

On his new solo single “New World,” former Blink-182 member — and current Blink-182 feud participant — Tom DeLonge tries going out on his own but lyrically recounts some stumbling blocks. The track’s the first off the singer’s upcoming album, To the Stars … Demos, Odds and Ends, and it’s decidedly quite in line with the work he did with the pop-punk band he once called his own. The “New World” video also finds DeLonge standing in city streets with a guitar slung over his shoulder, his vocals pitched down ever so slightly from their formerly nasally self. “I’ve lost the nerve / I’m finalized / Too many die here / I fall hands down, l pray / I don’t give an F-U-C-K.” Watch the video above and pick up To the Stars later this spring.
