Tame Impala are going to find time in between playing Governors Ball and Coachella this summer to release a new album later this year, and they’ve just shared the first single from the as-of-yet untitled record. “Let It Happen” is the first new music they’ve released since 2012’s Lonerism, and the nearly 8-minute-long track pulses with a mellow, almost hypnotic energy that slowly and seamlessly builds, with the beat imbibing it with an almost march-like quality. No specific release date beyond 2015 has been announced for the album yet, but you can pick up “Let It Happen” on the band’s websits, and check out the band’s busy touring schedule below.
