Sufjan Stevens Shares the Soothing Title Track From ‘Carrie & Lowell’

The virtuoso's new album arrives March 31

Sufjan Stevens’ new album, Carrie & Lowell, drops at the end of the month, but now the multi-instrumentalist has revealed the record’s acoustic title track. “Carrie & Lowell,” named after his mother and stepfather, features Stevens’ quick but restrained strumming and wispy, almost ghost-like vocals. We first heard about a minute of the track in the background of the record’s announcement trailer, but now, thanks to BBC Radio 6 Music, you can hear the full thing. Listen to “Carrie & Lowell” at this link at the 33:00 mark, and look for the album on March 31.
